The best of our market
The Butcher Bar is our showcase. The Bar is taking the best of the quality ingredients we sell in the shop and presenting them in a simple casual dining environment. We like to think of it as the retro steakhouse with the food-making of last century: we break down the animals in-house, we prepare everything by hand, even our martini is old school (more vermouth than gin).
Everything is ordered à la carte: guests come in, order a cocktail and some starts (maybe bone marrow?!), then for the meal you order your choice of meat wth a choice from six sauces or butters, along with whatever sides you might like. We have a generous winelist (everything on the list is available by the glass), as well as a modest bar and a growing collection of bourbons and scotches.
We try very hard to keep the whole experience comfortable, easy, and unadorned. We do not take reservations, we do not use fancy stemware, we have no vegetarian options. We keep service as simple and un-stuffy as possible, keeping the focus on the food and having a good time.
Tuesday to Saturday, 5:30pm – 9:30pm (ish)
We do not take groups larger than 6.
We are unable accommodate vegans or vegetarians.
We do not offer reservations.
We do not offer take-out.
