Where do bubbles really come from??
Sparkling wines have bubbles. And while the extra CO₂ is a natural by-product of fermentation (just like the alcohol), most wines remain flat. That extra gas for most of the reds and whites we drink blows off into the atmosphere. Your traditional Champagne then adds a pellet full of extra sugar and yeast to the still wine for a second fermentation. This is where they get the bubbles.

Wine Tasting: Fancy
Every Saturday, we open up a few wines to showcase what we bring into the shop. Usually the tastings will have a theme, something like: “French Wines” or “Reds from Southern Italy” or “Wines to have with Meats from the Grill”.
But sometimes, when you’ve had a long week or are just feeling special, you want something FANCY. You want a wine that says “you’ve waited long enough, it’s time to open me up”. A wine that is all gold everything. Continue reading #FAF Wine Tasting
Yep, we take a break too! Every year we close for a week in August to give ourselves a little breather, a little time off to rest, play, and rejuvenate.
- Our last day before break is Saturday, August 6.
The shop will have normal hours: 10am-5pm
The bar will be closing early at 9pm.
- We will be totally closed August 7 – 15.
The butcher shop will reopen on Tuesday, August 16.
- The Bar will be closed the following week, reopening on August 23.

We love you. And clearly you love us too. We have been overwhelmed by the incredible response we have had since reopening our shop in Marshall.
In fact, we have had so much demand that nearly all of our energy and time has gone into helping our guests and preparing more and more foods. We feel so very grateful to you all, but we have been left with no space in our days to fully prepare our Butcher Bar.
