The old-fashioned butcher shop has a new home on Marshall’s Main Street.
The Whole Ox opened Oct. 1 in the old post office building.
Customers bustled around the new shop, 10 days after the business closed The Plains location, in the former train depot.
Husband and wife team Derek and Amanda Luhowiak own the business with partners Marshall District Supervisor Peter Schwartz and his wife Anna Moser.
“About a year into our space in The Plains, we were already bursting at the seams,” Mrs. Luhowiak said. “We had a lot of customer demand that we really couldn’t keep up with because of space and time restrictions.”
