Farm to Table at a Table on a Farm
Humbled. We are humbled and honored that Outstanding in the Field has asked us to be the guest Chefs for their dinner this October.
For those unfamiliar with OITF, it is a roving culinary adventure — literally a restaurant without walls. Since 1999, OITF has set the long table at farms or gardens, on mountain tops or in sea caves, on islands or at ranches. Wherever the location, the consistent theme of each dinner is to honor the people whose good work brings nourishment to the table, with an ongoing mission to re-connect diners to the land and the origins of their food.
On Sunday, October 2nd, The Whole Ox will travel south to Free Union Grass Farm (near-ish to Charlottesville). We will join with farmers Erica Hellen & Joel Slezak to build a meal not to be missed.
We expect tickets to go quickly for this dinner, so if you would like to join us, we recommend you reserve quickly.
If committing to dinner in October seems too far out, tickets are transferable, so you can poach them to a friend if they’re into it.)
